Terry Ray Worrell, Sr.

Mr. Terry Ray Worrell, Sr., 63, of Dobson, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.  He was born in Forsyth County November 13, 1955 to the late Rev. Tommy and Hattie Loraine  Hawks Worrell.  Mr. Worrell was a kind, loving husband, father and grandfather.  He was a faithful member of True Vine Baptist Church.  He is survived by his wife of almost 42 years, Janet Key Worrell; sons and daughter-in-law, Terry Worrell, Jr. and Caroline, Thomas Worrell and Jessica, Richard Worrell and David Worrell and Ashely; grandchildren, Nathan Gwyn, Nick Worrell, Nathan Worrell, Emily Worrell and Hunter Worrell; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sheryl and Troy McMillian, Jr., Faith and Albert Purdue; and his father-in-law, Eugene Key.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Worrell was preceded in death by a sister, Dedra Thompson and his mother-in-law, Mary Lee Key.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at True Vine Baptist Church with Bro. Dink Haynes and Bro. Ray Hawks officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contribution be made to Moody Funeral Home to assist with the funeral expenses.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
