Thelma Lorene Upchurch Bryant

Mrs. Thelma Lorene Upchurch Bryant, 74, of Lambsburg, VA passed away Monday, October 4, 2021, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Carroll County on October 10, 1946, to the late Jasper and Eliza Faulkner Upchurch. Mrs. Bryant was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will forever be remembered for her generosity, kindness and love for Jesus. Mrs. Bryant was a passionate gardener, and collector of cookie jars, clocks and salt and pepper shakers. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Coby and Keith Badgett; sons and daughters-in-law, Blain and Angela Bryant, Patrick and Tina Bryant; grandchildren, Drew Bryant, Mason Bobbitt, Jared Bryant, Tanner Bobbitt; great grandchildren, Kylie Joyce, and Harper Bobbitt; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alma and Russell Haynes, Wilma and Arnold Triplet, Elizabeth Williams, John Robinson, Roger Williams; brother, Elmer Upchurch; sister-in-law, June Upchurch; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband, Corbet Lester Bryant, Jr.; an infant son, Baby Bryant, and a son, Michael Lane Bryant; brother, Albert Upchurch; sisters, Loretta Smith, Nelma Robinson. A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 7, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Fellowship Tabernacle Church with the Rev. Donald Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Stantliff Family Cemetery.
