Thelma Lee Gravely

Miss Thelma Lee Gravely, 85, of Mt. Airy passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Surry County on May 4, 1928 to the late Marion and Elvira Portis Gravely. Miss Gravely was a homemaker and will be missed by her loving family. She is survived by a sister, Annie Virginia Gravely of Mt. Airy; a brother, Donald Ray Gravely of Mt. Airy; cousins, Clara Easter of Lowgap, Carol Hensley of Pilot Mountain, Mary Lee Gravely of Mt. Airy, Bud Gravely of Oak Ridge, Katie Callahan of Pilot Mountain, Sylvia Hall of Indian Springs. In addition to her parents, Miss Gravely was preceded in death by a sister, Magalene Gravely. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 4, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Slate officiating. Burial will follow in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
