Thelma Frances Howlett Barker Lee

Mrs. Thelma Frances Howlett Barker Lee, age 79 passed away Sunday, May 27, 2007 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Lee was born in Patrick County, VA March 5, 1928 to the late George Orsby and Sadie Florence Gunnell Howlett. She was retired from Wayne Poultry and was a member of Hatchers Chapel Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Charles Woods of Lowgap; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis Wade and Rebecca McGee Barker of Mt. Airy, NC; two grandchildren and a spouse, Joseph Barker of Mt. Airy and Mary Frances and Danny Richardson of Lowgap; one great grandchild, Dusty Shayne Eaton of Lowgap; two sisters, Pearl Piles and Lucille Myers both of Mt. Airy; and one brother, Lawley Howlett of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by two husbands, Richard Lee Barker and Milton Howard Lee; four brothers, Gordon, Roy, Arthur and Arlis Howlett. There will be no formal visitation and a private service will be held at a later time. Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy is serving the Lee family.
