Thomas Matthew Beavers, Jr

Mr. Thomas Matthew "Hubbles" Beavers, Jr., 72, of Mount Airy, formerly of Manassas, VA, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2008, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Beavers was born January 13, 1936, in Manassas, VA, to Thomas Matthew Beavers, Sr. and Minnie Ella Jones Beavers. He graduated from Osbourn High School in Manassas and retired after owning a masonry business for 29 years. Surviving are his devoted wife of 52 years, Mary Ann Feehan Beavers of the home; a daughter, Joni Swartz of Mount Airy; a son, Jay Beavers of Manassas, VA; grandchildren, Matt Mitchell and Jessy Howard, both of Mount Airy, and Sarah Beavers and Chris Howard, both of Manassas, VA; a sister, Virginia A. Shetley of Manassas, VA; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert M. and Geneva Beavers of Wauchula, FL; a goddaughter, Marie Henson and her son, T.J.; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 27, 2008, at Pierce Funeral Home in Manassas, VA, conducted by the Rev. Turner. Burial will follow in Stonewall Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday night from 7:00 to 9:00 at Pierce Funeral Home.
