Thomas Larry Green

Mr. Thomas Larry Green, age 65, of Mount Airy, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at his home. He was born on January 18, 1959 in Comanche County Oklahoma to the late Retired U.S. Army Special Forces Sgt. Maj. Herbert Lee Green, and his mother, Dorothy Louis Hartsock Green. Mr. Green was a retired Class A Golf Course Superintendent, and a former Civil Service worker for the United States Army. He was an accomplished Musician, Painter, and Golfer having played Collegiately at his Alma Mater Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC. He later became an Assistant Golf Course Professional before becoming Superintendent. His favorite pastime in his later years was to fish on Surf City Ocean Pier with his wife Tammy and other friends. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will surely be missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 21 years, Tammy Johnson Green; daughters, Melisha Mosley (John), Jessica Crawford (Steve); grandchildren, Jace, and Makason Mosley; brother, Kerry Lynn Green (Rhonda); sister-in-law, Cathy Lovill (Marty), brother-in-law, Lee Johnson (Cathy). A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
