Thomas Kimble Bryant

Mr. Thomas Kimble Bryant, 83, of Ararat, NC, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center, Monday, February 27, 2023.  He was born in High Point, NC, December 8, 1939, to the late Elba Hayden and Lillian Sabra McIntyre Bryant.  Mr. Bryant graduated from Guilford College, served in the National Guard for four years and retired from Sara Lee after more than 30 years of service.  He was a member and Past Master of the Ararat Masonic Lodge #558 AF & AM.  Mr. Bryant loved his family and was especially proud of his granddaughter, Morgan.  He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, visiting them as often as he could.  Mr. Bryant enjoyed gardening, bluegrass music and played guitar with a band several years ago.  He will be fondly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Sara Beck Bryant; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas K. Bryant, Jr. and Jennifer Jo Bryant; granddaughter, Morgan Nichole Bryant; a sister and brother-in-law, Marie Simmons and Steve; and brother and sister-in-law, Bill Bryant and Carole Bryant.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Dennis Moore officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at the Ararat Cemetery with Masonic Rites conducted by Ararat Masonic Lodge #558 AF & AM.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to Ararat Masonic Lodge #558 AF & AM, P.O. Box 71, Ararat, NC 27007, Ararat Friends Meeting, P.O. Box 60, Ararat, NC 27007, or First United Methodist Church of Pilot Mountain, 210 W.
