Thomas Roby Martin

Mr. Thomas Roby Martin Age 92 of Rockford St. Mt. Airy widower of the late Frances Forrest Martin passed away Friday July 28, 2006 at the Twelve Oak Rest Home in Mt. Airy. Mr. Martin was born September 5, 1913 in Carroll County to the late Charles Lewis and Ada Ima Williams Martin, he was retired from Hennis Freight Lines as a Diesel Mechanic and was a member of Haymore Memorial Baptist Church. Surviving are One daughter and son-in-law Glenda and Joe Creech of Mt. Airy, One son Tommy Martin of Mt. Airy, Two grandsons and spouses Joseph Hooker Creech, III and wife Andrea of Mt. Airy and Stephen Martin Creech and wife Dawn of Pinnacle, Three great grandsons Andrew Joseph Creech of Mt. Airy, Stephen Martin Creech, II and Daniel Bryan Creech both of Pinnacle and One sister Frieda McHone of Mt. Airy. Graveside services will be held Sunday July 30, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Oakdale Cemetery with services conducted by Rev. Robert McCrary. The family will receive friends one hour before the graveside service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC. 27030 or to Haymore Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, 319 Rockford St. Mt. Airy, NC. 27030. The family would like to express a heart felt thank you to the staff of Twelve Oaks Rest Home and to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for all of the love and kindness shown to them during there time of need.
