Thomas Codell Reeves

Mr. Thomas Codell Reeves age 87 of Mount Airy, husband of Ruth Marion Reeves, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Reeves was born in Surry County on April 15, 1919, son of the late Thomas Benton Reeves and Mamie Jackson Reeves, was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Army. He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Marion Reeves of the home, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillian and Thurman Horner of Brevard and Dorothy and W. Irving Key of Winston-Salem and one brother and sister-in-law, John Thomas and Elizabeth Reeves of Annandale, VA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 27, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Holly Springs Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by Rev. Lanny Atkins with burial to follow in Skyline Memory Gardens with military rites conducted by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard Post 2019 of Mount Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain. The family will receive friends at Holly Springs Baptist Church on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 PM . Moody Funeral Home is serving the Reeves family.
