Thomas Rose

Mr. Thomas Lincoln Rose, age 50 of Stuart, Virginia, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  He was born in Statesville, North Carolina on December 1, 1970 and was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Bunton Moore; stepfather, Donald Lee Moore; and father, Carl Dean Rose. He was a member of Stuart Presbyterian Church, and he was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. Mr. Rose is survived by his wife, Angela Tejeda Rose of the home; a son and daughter, Thomas Lincoln Rose Jr. and  Elizabeth Joselyn Rose; a brother and sister in law, Douglas and Shannon Rose of Germanton, NC; maternal grandmother, Mamie Bunton of Statesville, NC; an uncle and aunt, Ray and Helen Bunton of Statesville, NC; cousins, Jay and wife Dana of Statesville, NC, Carrie and husband Russell Allen of Statesville, NC; father and mother-in-law, Jorge and Josefina Tejeda of Stuart; two sisters-in-law, Ana and husband Alejandro Martinez of Stuart, Ada and husband Timothy Fain of Stuart; two brothers-in-law, Jorge Tejeda of Stuart, Oscar and wife Amber Tejeda of Woolwine; an aunt and uncle, Linda and husband Dale Williams of Yadkinville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Rose graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1993 with a B.S. in Management.  He completed his Master’s in Business Administration from Averett University in 2008.  Tom served in multiple positions in human resources and administration throughout his career.  He also owned and operated multiple businesses from the time he graduated Virginia Tech to the present date.   A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastors Danny Redman and David “Bucky” Hunsicker officiating.  The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. ln lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Thomas Rose Memorial College Fund C/o Angela Rose, 402 West Blue Ridge Street, Stuart, VA 24171. Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com To send flowers to Thomas' family, please visit our floral store.
