Thomas James Wall

Mr. Thomas James Wall, age 75, of Siloam, NC went to be with the Lord on Monday- February 14, 2022 at his home. He was born in Surry County on November 07, 1946, to the late James and Lucille Billings Wall; he was raised by his late grandparents, Charlie and Lela Wall. In addition to his parents and grandparents he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Utt. Mr. Wall struggled with chronic health issues for a long while, but in earlier years he was a salesman and a radio announcer for WSYD. He enjoyed golf, attending Hope Fellowship Church, spending time in his recording studio and singing gospel music alongside his wife and her family. Although his health declined and he was unable to do many things, he found joy in spending time with his wife, visits from his daughter along with other family and friends and hearing of his grandchildren’s adventures and milestones of life.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years Rosie O’Neal Wall; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Chris Mitchell; granddaughter whom he lovingly referred to as “beautiful”, Kayty Mitchell; grandsons, Caleb and wife Kaitlyn Mitchell, Dylan Mitchell; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Chester Goings, Kathy and Mike Vaughn, Joyce and Steve Smith; brother, Johnny Wall. Many nieces and nephews and a host of other family; including a special brother-in-law, Tony O’Neal who was a dear friend and help to both he and Rosie.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday February 19, 2022, in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Solid Rock Bible Believing Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Terry Johnson and Rev. Joey Lane will officiate the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, NC on Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 12:00 noon until the time of his service at 2:00 PM.
