Timothy "Tim" Parker

Mr. Timothy “Tim” Parker, age 69, of Dobson, NC went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born in Surry County on November 29, 1948 to the late Dewey Sherman Parker and the late Virginia Hall Parker. He was a retired carpenter from Tom Frazier Building Company in Winston-Salem. He attended Second Chance Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Carol Pearson; brother, Dewey Harold “Buddy” Parker. Surviving are his wife, Pat Bledsoe Parker of the home; daughter and son-in-law Michelle and David Oxendine of Dobson; son, Mitchell Parker of Dobson; three grandchildren Charlie “Matt” and wife Elani Oxendine, Dillon Parker, Sarah Oxendine; two great-grandchildren, Lily Oxendine, Ollie Oxendine; brother and sister-in-law Philiaw “Phil” and Judy Parker of Dobson; half-sister, Karen Parker; half-brother, Joey Parker; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Second Chance Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Terry Coe will conduct the services with the help of Reverend Billy Joe Jenkins and Reverend Allen Jenkins. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Second Chance Church, after the visitation his body will be returned to Moody-Davis Funeral Home until the time of his service.
