Tony Carroll Lineberry

Mr. Tony Carroll Lineberry, loving husband of Mrs. Linda Howard Lineberry, of Dobson went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 11, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Wilkes County on February 15, 1950 to the late James Hastings and Jessie Harold Lineberry. A retired bridge maintenance Supervisor for the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Mr. Lineberry was a devoted family man and a faithful member of Dayspring Baptist Chapel. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 42 years, Linda Howard Lineberry of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Buddy Newman and Carolyn and Lee Riggins all of Elkin; two adorable grandchildren, Nathan Newman and Madalyn Riggins; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Lawrence Pruitt of Traphill and Rosemary and Teddy Smoot of Jonesville; a brother, Gary Lineberry of Jonesville; several special nieces and nephews; and five brothers-in-law whom were loved like brothers. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lineberry was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Jimmy Lineberry. His funeral service will be held at 3 PM Thursday May 14, 2009 at Dayspring Baptist Chapel by Brother Roger Pickett with burial to follow in Welcome Valley Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday at Moody-Davis Funeral Home where his body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service.
