Mr. James Trenton Snow, age 94, of Dobson, went to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, April 23, 2021. Trenton was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Nancy Marshall Snow; his parents, Willie and Bertha Snow; and his brother, Clinton Snow. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Jeff Wilmoth; sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Pam Snow and Rick and Kay Snow; sister, Jeanne McChesney; grandchildren, Justin (Kim) Snow, Jordan Snow, Angie (Kris) Johnson, Adrienne (Kelvin) Stroupe, Tyler Wilmoth and Zachary Wilmoth; great grandchildren, Haley Johnson, Lucas Johnson, Noelle Snow and Jonah Snow; several nieces & nephews; special caregivers and now lifelong family friends, Jeff and Portia Tate and Debbie Casstevens. Trenton was a faithful man that loved his family, his church, and community. Trenton became a member of Salem Baptist Church in 1940, faithfully serving his church for 81 years. For 35 years he loved working alongside his family on Snow’s Strawberry Farm. Trenton served his country in WWII. He also retired after 45 years from Chatham Manufacturing Company. He loved spending time with his family, watching his children and grandchildren play sports, and was a huge Atlanta Braves fan. Mr. Snow will lie in state Monday, April 26, 2021 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Salem Baptist Church. Services will begin at 3:00 PM in the church with Rev. David Powell, Dr. Darrell Tate, & Rev. Jay Worsley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salem Baptist Building Fund, 430 Rockford Road, Dobson NC 27017. The family would also like to thank the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, for the care given to Trenton. Anyone attending services are asked to please wear a mask and follow proper social distancing practices under current Covid-19 guidelines.
