Treva Jane Collins

Mrs. Treva Jane Younger Collins, 97, of Mt. Airy passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born in Surry County on November 2, 1924, to the late Harrison and Myrtle East Younger.  Mrs. Collins retired from Northern Hospital of Surry County, and a charter member of Community Baptist Church.  Treva was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother who will be dearly missed.  She is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Joy Helms, Frances and Jack Edwards; a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Donna Collins; Seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, and one on the way; brother and sisters-in-law, Jim and Janice Younger, Pauline Younger, Trish Younger, and Barbara Younger; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Collins; son-in-law, Bob Helms; sisters and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Thomas Mills, and Lena Younger; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kermit and Clara Younger, Randolph Younger, Birchard and Foye Younger, Bruce Younger, Pete Younger, and Rex Younger.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Community Baptist Church with the Rev. Brad Quesinberry, the Rev. Kenneth Jessup, and Pastor Gray Williams officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Community Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Community Baptist Church Ladies Fellowship, c/o Pam Sewell, 198 Delaware Ave., Mt.
