Treva Hall Haynes

Mrs. Treva Hall Haynes, age 87 of Ararat, VA, widow of Jerry Kelly Haynes, Sr., passed away Sunday, December 31, 2006 at her home. Mrs. Haynes was born in Carroll County, October 10, 1919 to Sam and Ida Williams Hall. She was a loving homemaker and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Doris Haynes of Mt. Airy; Jerry, Jr. and Janet Haynes of Pilot Mountain; Odell and Violet Haynes of Hillsville; seven grandchildren; five step grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren; and a sister, Vallie Haynes of Ararat, VA, a special niece, Zelma Waddell, Cana, VA. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Haynes was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Oak Grove Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Louis Martin and Rev. Kelly Haynes. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Tuesday night at Moody Funeral Home of Mt. Airy where her body will remain until carried to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service.
