Tripp McKinley Miller

On the night of Monday, August 21, 2017, Tripp McKinley Miller, 22, of San Juan Capistrano, CA, slipped from this world to his heavenly residence. Born July 29, 1995, Tripp was loved by many, but none more than his Dad, “Bo” (Jimmy Wayne Miller, Jr.) and his wife, Marisa V. Miller, and his mother, Catherine M. Miller of Greensboro; and his siblings, Katelyn “Katie” Miller and Maegan, Sara, and Jake Sydnor. He was loved unconditionally by his grandparents, Jimmy and Mildred Miller and Wiley May and late wife, Patricia May. Throughout his life’s 22-year journey, he found both love and support from his aunts and uncles, Dale and Patti Fulk, Elizabeth “Beth” M. Burton, Sheri and Preston Bergen, and Lori and Darren McDonough; a loving great aunt, Kay T. Hull; and many special cousins. A gifted and talented athlete, Tripp loved football, weight-lifting, cross-fit, golf, hiking, sports in general, good food, good friends, and good times. Through those activities, he gained many lasting friendships. A special shout out to the friends he made at Hope By The Sea, where he was employed as an intake counselor. His struggle with addiction provided an understanding and compassion for the battles faced by those who walked through the door on their road to recovery. His friendly voice and caring personality greeted each client. Tripp would want to share the “Good News” that found him while at Hope By The Sea. His friends and family rejoice in his decision to place his hope in the Lord Jesus Christ, followed by his obedience in baptism. His friends, Pastor Rick, Robbie Corcoran, and Erin Perez were significant influences in his faith journey. On Sunday, August 27, 2017, at Dobson First Baptist Church, his family welcomes your visit from 2:00 until 4:00 PM. A service, led by Pastor Cory Honeycutt, will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Moody Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1288, Mount Airy, NC 27030, to assist the family with the funeral expenses. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy is serving the family.
