Truman Allen Patton

Mr. Truman Allen Patton, 63, died as a result from a automobile accident in Yadkin County on Saturday, March 14, 2009. He was born in Yadkin County on April 23, 1945, to the late Grover Harrison Patton and the late Fairlie Reece Patton, in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers George, Gray, Douglas and Robert Patton. He was retired from Sarah Lee and attended Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Surviving are a special friend Ellen Patton of Boonville, NC; two sons and daughter-in-law Timmy and Lisa Patton of Charlotte, NC and Jimmy Patton of Salisbury, NC; by two grandsons Nathan and Andrew Patton, of Charlotte, NC; by two brothers and sisters-in-law Grover "Bud" and Betty Patton of Siloam, Bill and Gayle Patton of Mt. Airy; one aunt Julie Barber, of Elkin, NC. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday March 18, 2009 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Union Cross Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Curtis Ponder and Rev. Joey Wall will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at Poplar Springs Baptist Church on Tuesday evening from 7 PM until 9 PM. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Patton family.
