Twyla Maxwell Sickmiller

Mrs. Twyla Maxwell Sickmiller, age 74, formerly of Dobson, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Ascension St. Thomas Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She was born October 3, 1947, in Lovington Illinois to the late Robert Blane Maxwell Jr. and the late Martha Hirt Maxwell. Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 54 years, Rev. Roger Burnell Sickmiller; sons and daughters-in-law, Todd David Sickmiller, Ross Wayne and Donna Sickmiller and Robert Blane and Rita Sickmiller; grandchildren, Curtis Blane Sickmiller, Alisha Ann Sickmiller, Chris Robert Sickmiller, and Carson Ross Sickmiller; sister, Cheryl Ann Byron; and brother and sister-in-law, Robert Blane and Lois Maxwell III. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, William Bryon and her grandson, Cody Sickmiller. Mrs. Sickmiller had worked in the hospitality industry, was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, June 10, 2022, in the Double Creek Church of Christ Cemetery with Rev. Roger Sickmiller and Rev. John Elmore officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Cancer Society or St. Jude's Children’s Hospital. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Sickmiller family.
