Vallie Dorine (Hall) Haynes

Mrs. Vallie Dorine Hall Haynes, age 92, of Ararat, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Heritage Hall – Laurel Meadows.  Mrs. Haynes was born in Carroll County on August 28, 1931, to the late Sam and Ida Williams Hall.  Vallie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother; sister, and friend.  She was a faithful member of Cedar Lane Baptist Church in Cana while her health permitted, and she will be deeply missed.  Surviving are her sons and daughter-in-law, Roger Dale Haynes and wife Debbie, Sammie Richard Haynes; four grandchildren, Rodney Haynes, Van Haynes and wife Julia, Andrea DePaw; Jessica Pack and husband Gerald; sixteen great-grandchildren; three great great-grandsons; a special great great-grandson, Elisha Haynes; a special niece, Rosenell; along with many other nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Haynes was preceded in death by her husband, George Alfred Haynes; a son and daughter-in-law, Eddie Alfred Haynes and wife Jewel; four sisters, Mecy Hall Dowell, Treva Hall Haynes, Rausie Hall Epperson, Nonnie Hall Haynes; and five brothers, Elmer Hall, Troy Hall, Clyde Hall, Otis Hall, and Sammie Hall.  A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Kelly Haynes and Reverend Ed Bowman officiating.  No formal visitation will be held.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
