Vera Haynes

Mrs. Vera “Aunt Booboo” Beketov Haynes, 86, of Cana, VA, passed away at Galax Health and Rehab Center, Friday, March 11, 2022.  She was born in Yugoslavia October 25, 1935, to the late Ivan and Ana  Bošnjaković Beketov.  She was a soft-spoken loving grandmother, sister, and friend.  She was a member of Flat Ridge Baptist Church, and sometimes attended Willow Hill Moravian Church when her health permitted.  Mrs. Haynes is survived by her grandson, Jimmy Haynes; great-granddaughters, Jordan Rose Haynes, and Caity Marie Withers; her sister Tania Yopp; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Haynes was preceded in death by her husband Joyce “Speedy” Haynes; her son Stanley Alan Haynes; and her brother Vassily Beketov.  A memorial service will be held at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy, Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 2:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, Vera requested that memorial contributions be made to Willow Hill Moravian Church.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
