Vernon Lee Parker, Sr.

Mr. Vernon Lee Parker, Sr., age 54, of Patrick Springs, Virginia passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem. He was born in Hampton, Virginia on January 24, 1968, to the late Vernon Luther Parker and Helen Mae Small Parker. Vernon loved his family; they were always # 1 in his life. He loved to hunt, had a heart of gold, and was an all-around good guy.

Mr. Parker is survived by his loving wife, Melanie Lynn Parker of the home; four children, Vernon Lee Parker, Jr. of Patrick Springs, VA, Traci Johnston (Brandon Holland) of Pinnacle, NC, Christopher Johnston of Danbury, NC, and Jonathan Johnston of Bassett, VA; two step-children, Crystal Mitchell of Newport News, VA, Kyle Koedyker of Hopewell, VA; ten grandchildren, Hailey, Serenity, Megan, Christian, Alyssa, Leiland, Rylan, Sophia, Bella, and Emmanuel; three sisters, Laura Munger of Hampton, VA, Sharon Parrott of Hampton, VA, Debbie Avsher of Gloucester, VA; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the home of his stepdaughter at 1277 Early Lane, Pinnacle, NC 27043.
