Vestal Otis Noah

Mr. Vestal Otis Noah, 91, of Mt. Airy, widower of Callie Griffin Noah, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Noah was born June 30, 1916, in Surry County, to the late Walter and Jennie Gammons Noah. He was retired from National Furniture Company. Surviving are three sisters and a brother-in-law, Rada and John D. Bowman of Mt. Airy, Lucille Dodson of High Point, and Odell Hilderbrand of King; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Noah was preceded in death by a brother, Wiley Noah. The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 6, 2008, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Dale Wallace, the Rev. Clarence Raines, and Bill Hiatt. Burial will follow in the Mt. Herman United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church, West Pine Street, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
