Vicky Lea Arnold Atkins

Vicky Lea Arnold Atkins, 55, of Mount Airy, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 24, 2017. Vicky was a beloved cherished mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was surrounded by family and loved ones at the time of her passing. Vicky leaves behind the sunshine and most proud possession of her life, daughter Geena Nicole Atkins (Joseph Henson) and her loving animals, Blue, Precious and Simon. Vicky is the daughter of Dennis and Elizabeth (Lib) Arnold of Mount Airy. She is preceded in death by her father Dennis Arnold. She was the youngest sister of five siblings Gene Arnold (Latonna), Betty Jo (BJ) Layne (Scott), Ray Arnold, and Jeff Arnold (Dee). She was a fun and favored aunt to nephews David, Robert, Daniel, Tony, Elliott, and nieces Amy and Meredith, her cousins are Beck and Jim Skillman, aunt, Peggy Tew, and numerous other cousins and friends. Vicky was a fun loving, kind person and will be missed by all. The family will receive friends at Mount Airy Wesleyan Church 2063 S. Main St. Mt Airy, NC 27030 on December 30th from 1pm to 2pm followed by a celebration of Vicky’s life at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Vicky’s name to the Surry County Animal Shelter.
