Vicky Joe Ellis

Ms. Vicky Joe Ellis, 74, of Mount Airy, passed away at her home on Monday, January 18, 2021.  She was born in Jonesboro, AK on December 27, 1946 to the late Fern B. Ellis and Betty Jean McCloud.  She was a selfless, devoted, and loving Mother, Deedee, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed.  Left to cherish her sweet memory are daughters, Kathy (Danny), Robbie (Clyde), and Brandee; 13 grandchildren, Joshua (Jewel), John John, Victoria, Justin, Daniel (Rosie), Benjamin, Lucas, David, Amanda (James), Kyle (Chey), Tyler (Bree), Kylie, and Ashlynn; 12 great-grandchildren, Lisa Lee, Alexander, Mckenzie, Melody, Ryleigh, Mila, Logan, Luna, Kora, Lilly, Konner, and Karson; three brothers, Charles, Belo, and Terry Ellis; and many special nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, waiting her arrival in Heaven are her two daughters, Lisa Lynn Bledsoe and Gina LeeAnn Jones; two brothers, Michael and Dennis Gibson; her Daddy, R. L. Gibson, her Mamma, Ora Lee Waddill, and her stepfather, Douglas McCloud.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 11:00 AM in the Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Danny Savoie officiating.  Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving Vicky’s family.
