Vickye Kaye Carter Southern

Mrs. Vickye Kaye Carter “Nannie” Southern, age 75, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at her home. She was born on August 11, 1946, to the late Henry and Dorothy Arrington Carter. Left to cherish her memories are son and daughter-in-law, Samuel and Leigh Ann Southern; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Bradley Stafford; grandchildren, Stoney Southern, Santana Southern, Madison Kinzer, Joseph Arnett; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Glenn Bowman; special friend, Amy Edwards; fur baby, Punkin. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Southern was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Joseph Southern. There will be no formal services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
