Victor "Bobby" Ralph Harrison

Mr. Victor "Bobby" Ralph Harrison, age 81 of Mt. Airy, widower of Nellie Mildred Branscome Harrison, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Harrison was born in West Virginia, June 27, 1926 to William Percy and Mae Bonham Harrison. He was retired from Ridgeway Clock Factory and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are four daughters and five sons-in-law, Linda and Larry Hamlin of Mt. Airy; Cathy and Donald Grogan of Virginia Beach, VA; Arbutus Eans of Martinsville, VA; Vicky and Steve Koller of Thomasville; Steve Thomas of Dobson; and Vic Griffin of Carolina Beach, NC; a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Claudia Harrison of Martinsville, VA; seventeen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a sister, Connie Boyd of Collinsville, VA; and a brother, Frank Harrison of Kernersville. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Harrison was preceded in death by daughters, Brenda Thomas and Sandra Griffin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 27, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Timmy Gwyn. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens with military rites by VFW Memorial Honor Guard Mt. Airy Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436. The family will receive friend Sunday night from 7:00 to 9:00 at the funeral home.
