Victoria "Torie" Chandler Hurst

Mrs. Victoria Lynn “Torie” Chandler Hurst, age 40, of Mt. Airy, NC, wife of Mr. Jason Robert Hurst, went to be with Jesus on September 1, 2021, at her home. She was born October 21, 1980, in Surry County to Terry Ray and Teresa Ann Chamblin Chandler, She had worked at Northern Regional Hospital as a medical assistant and was of the Baptist faith, Surviving are her husband, Jason R. Hurst of the home, two daughters, Autumn Rae Mickles, Holley Summit Mickles, and a son, Nathaniel “Nate” Orion Mickles, two step-sons, Dustin Brier Hurst and Gage Colton Hurst, parents, Terry Rae and Teresa Ann Chandler, grandmother, Mrs. Mary Chandler, grandfather, Howard Chamblin. Mrs. Hurst was preceded in death by her grandfather, Leonard Chandler, and her grandmother, Virginia Chamblin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 3, 2021, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by Rev. Kevin Kilby. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
