Viola White Corder

Havelock - Viola White Corder, 94, passed away Saturday, February 16 at Cherry Point Bay Nursing & Rehab Center.
She was retired from Civil Service at Cherry Point where she was a Supervisor Material Specialist. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Havelock, a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, a member and past president of Havelock Senior Citizens Club, and past president of Bush and Vine Garden Club.
She is survived by one daughter, Dolores Gaskins and husband Robert of Havelock; two grandchildren, Martin LaCasse, Jr. and fiancé Stephanie Wippel of Philadelphia, PA and Cindy Lanier and husband James of Havelock; one great granddaughter Jacqueline Lanier and one great grandson Bronson LaCasse; one niece, five nephews and one very special nephew Timothy White.
She was preceded in death by her parents J. Avery and Annie Nance White; brother Davis White and sisters Bertha Hodges and Hattie Fowler; and a nephew Vernon Hodges.
The family will receive friends at Pollock-Best Funeral Home 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Monday.
Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 at Fairview Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Havelock First Baptist Church or Fairview Baptist Church.
