Viola Gertrude Lovill Pruitt

Mrs. Viola Gertrude Lovill Pruitt age 88 of 108 Grandparents, Way, Mt. Airy, NC widow of Mr. Goston Pruitt passed away Friday morning, April 6, 2007 at Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy. She was born in Patrick County, VA January 22, 1919 to the late Everett and Betty Wright Lovill. She was of the Baptist Faith and was a homemaker. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Dallas and Carol Pruitt, Mt. Airy, NC, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, two sisters, Sybil Kurfees, Folkston, GA, and Dorothy Gwynn, Richmond, VA. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in death by a son, Delmar Pruitt, a daughter, Lucille Key, one brother and three sisters. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, April 8, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel of Mt. Airy conducted by Rev. Sammy Lawson and Rev. Tony Holder. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Saturday night at Moody Funeral Home where her body will remain until the hour of the service.
