Violet Lowe Harrison

Mrs. Violet Lowe Harrison, 89, of Lowgap, passed away Monday night, April 21, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Harrison was born June 12, 1935, in Surry County, one of six children born to the late Eddie and Imogene Carson Lowe. A devoted homemaker, Violet dedicated her life to nurturing her family and creating a warm, loving home. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her gentle spirit, and the quiet strength that carried her through many seasons of life. A longtime member of Mountain View Baptist Church, Violet lived her faith daily. She served her community with humility and grace, finding joy in her church family and strength in her unwavering belief in God. She is survived by five sons and four daughters-in-law, Brad and Patsy Harrison, Mike and Bonita Harrison, Doug and Angie Harrison, Phillip and Amy Harrison, and Tony Harrison; seven grandchildren, Michael Lee Harrison, Kimberly Bauguess, Justin Harrison, Hannah Gerber, Jacob Harrison, Emily Harrison, and Ben Harrison; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her husband, Silas Oscar Harrison, Jr.; two sisters, Odessa Brown and Estelle Hawks; and three brothers, Roger Bill Lowe, Quillon Lowe, and Herbert Lowe. The funeral service will be held Friday, April 25, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Mountain View Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ewell Vernon officiating. Burial will follow in the Hodges-Carson Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 until 12:00 PM at the church. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Mountain View Baptist Church, P.O.
