Virgil Vanbrook Lowe

Mr. Virgil Vanbrook Lowe, age 70 of Lowgap passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at his home.  Mr. Lowe was born September 23, 1953, to Hallie Rachel Brannock Lowe and the late Porter Lowe.  Virgil was a loving father, brother, uncle, great uncle and friend.  Mr. Lowe owned and operated his landscaping business for many years as well as working for Carter Utility Tree Services in Mount Airy.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  Surviving is his daughter, Vanessa Saramaie Lowe; son, Tanner Brooks Lowe, four brothers, David Porter Lowe, Dennie Wade Lowe, Daniel Claude Lowe, Jimmy Leslie Lowe; his mother, Hallie Rachel Brannock Lowe; one niece Farrah Lowe; four nephews, Adam Lowe, Jacob Lowe, Zackery Lowe, Josiah Lowe; two great-nieces, Emarie Lowe, Vera Lowe; a great nephew Porter Lowe; along with numerous friends.  In addition to his father, Mr. Lowe was preceded in death by his twin brother, William Jefferson Lowe.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Reverend Joe Atkins officiating.  Interment will follow at Roaring Gap Baptist Church in Lowgap.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
