Virginia Ann Wood Crouse

Mrs. Virginia Ann Wood Crouse, 72, of Dobson went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday evening June 7, 2009. She was born in Surry County on June 29, 1936 to the late Hilary Wood and the late Lucy Jane Amburn Wood.. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Elwood Jackson Crouse; four sisters Stella Ramey, Edna Wood, Gladys Hawks and Carrie Mae White; by two brothers Columbus Wood and Edgar Wood. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Dean Pardue of Dobson; two sons Greg Crouse of Mt. Airy and Tim and Jennifer Crouse of Dobson; five grandchildren Michael Crouse, Cris Crouse, Allison Angell and her Fiance Andrew Creed, Rebekah Crouse; step grandchildren Nathan Pardue and Emily Pardue; great gandchildren Ethan Weston and Chase Weston, step great-grandchild Corde' Gray; three sisters Geneva Todd, of Dobson, Oma Goodson, of Mt. Airy , Mary Faye Wilmoth of Dobson. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday June 10, 2009 at Ladonia Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery . Her body will remain at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson until carried to the Church to Lie in State 30 Min. before the services. Rev. Tony Holder and Rev. Stuart Roten will officiate the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 PM. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care 401 Technology Lane Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
