Virginia Ruth Weddle Dawson

Mrs. Virginia Ruth Weddle Dawson age 89 formerly of Ararat, VA, widow of Amos Roland Dawson, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Heritage Hall-Laurel Meadows in Laurel Fork, VA. Mrs. Dawson was born in Carroll County on July 5, 1919 to the late Charlie Weddle and Ahavia Worrell Weddle. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Juanita and Harry Lee Bowman of Ararat, VA; three sons and daughters-in-law, Nelson and Frances Dawson of Ararat, Wade and Doris Dawson of Cana and Charles Dawson of Ararat; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Dawson was preceded in death by two sons, Clifford Dawson, Larry Dawson and a brother, Clinton Weddle. A graveside service will be held on Sunday August 3, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Willow Hill Moravian Church. The service will be conducted by Rev. Emmett Crotts. No formal visitation will be held at the funeral home. Moody Funeral Home is serving the Dawson family.
