Virginia Mae Wilson Evans

Mrs. Virginia Mae Wilson Evans, 80, of Booker Street, Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are her husband, Dennis C. Evans of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan E. and David B. Niten of Mount Airy; two grandchildren, Stephanie Niten and Alyssa Niten, both of Mount Airy; a sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Robert Plake of Indianapolis, IN; and a brother, Franklin R. Wilson of Indianapolis, IN. Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her parents, Frances O. Wilson and Angeline Allen Wilson. The funeral service will be held Friday, June 24, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Midway Baptist Church, with the Rev. Larry Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Midway Baptist Church. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to a charity of donor's choice. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
