Virginia Lee Gammons

Mrs. Virginia Lee Gammons, 87 of Westfield, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in McDowell County WV, January 13, 1931 to the late Clinard Lee and Ethel Irene Scott Tilley.  Mrs. Gammons was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She is survived by her husband of almost 70 years, Clenoard Jay Gammons; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Greg Beasley; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Donna Gammons, Timmy and Penny Gammons, and Bruce and Christy Gammons; seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and two step great-great grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Ranzie Hall; several nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gammons was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Moncus; a sister, Mary Frances Ferguson and a brother, Burton Tilley.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Mountain View Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Tony Goins and Pastor Roger Collins officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 1:00 until the time of the service.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
