Virginia Louise Bullins Hayes

Mrs. Virginia Louise Bullins Hayes age 68 of 131 Bass Ridge Trail, Mount Airy, widow of Tom Hayes, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Hayes was born in Surry County on August 24, 1938 daughter of the late Kemp Glenn Bullins, Sr. and Rosa Mae McCann Bullins and was retired from M and M Textiles. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Carol Hodges of Mount Airy; two grandchildren, Tandi Porter and husband Willie of Huntington, WV and Lewis Doss of Hurricane, WV; three great-grandchildren, Aaron Porter, Courtney Porter and Ethan Porter all of Huntington, WV; two special sisters and brothers-in-law, Eva Mae and Wade Smith and Shirley and Tommy Noah all of Mount Airy; eight brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy Bullins of Mount Airy, Kemp Bullins, Jr. of Dobson, Jerry and Sharon Bullins of Mount Airy, Wade and Louise Bullins of Ennice, Jackie and Martha Bullins of Galax, VA, Bobby and Barbara Bullins of Mount Airy, Maynard and Nancy Bullins of Newport News, VA and Sammy and Carol Bullins of Statesboro, GA. In addition to her husband Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Ann Hodges, one sister, Ann Key and two brothers, Johnny Gray Bullins and Eldean Bullins. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Amazing Grace Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by Rev. Jonathan Barker and Rev. Russell Nixon with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Monday night from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
