Virginia Midkiff

Ms. Virginia Bennett Midkiff, age 90, of Mt. Airy, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019.  Ms. Midkiff was born in Surry County on August 5, 1928, to Jay and Geneva Goad Bennett.  She was a well-known and very well respected Realtor for 40 years and retired from Town & Country Realty.  Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jim Fant; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Donna Haynes; grandchildren, Hope Tesh, John Tesh, Blake Haynes, Sarah Ayers, Frankie Fant, James Fant, Jr., and Amberly Goins; great grandchildren, Ansley Tesh, Banks Fant, Briggs Fant, Beatrice Fant, Eli Ayers, and Lily Frenette; and many dear friends and relatives.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Midkiff was preceded in death by sisters, Ruth Pike, Pauline Simmons, and Lillie Bishop.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Fancy Gap Baptist Church by Rev. Dwight Sechrist.  Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home.
