Virginia Edith Davis (Jenny) Sawyers

Mrs. Virginia Edith Davis (Jenny) Sawyers Age 76 o f 717 Hilda Dr., Mt. Airy, widow of Mr. Weldon Ottoway Sawyers passed away Saturday August 5, 2006 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. Mrs. Sawyers was born December 4, 1929 in Grayson County VA. to the late John Sanders and Martha Jane Hall Davis, she was retired from Cross Creek Apparel Co. and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. Surviving are Four sons and daughters-in-law Sanders C. and Kathy Sawyers, Thomas B. and Belinda Sawyers and Eric Sawyers all of Mt. Airy Michael Sawyers of Ararat, VA., a daughter-in-law Sue Sawyers of Mt. Airy, Eight grandchildren, Two great grandchildren and One sister Gladys Parker of Richmond, California. In addition to her husband and parents Mrs. Sawyers was preceded in death by two sons Weldon Ottoway Sawyers, Jr. and Don Sawyers. Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 8, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Winfred Davis with burial to follow in the Sawyers Family Cemetery in Fancy Gap VA.. The family will receive friends Monday night 7 to 9 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC.
