Virginia Hill Seal

Mrs. Virginia Hill Seal, 97, of Mount Airy, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday evening, March 18, 2025, at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. Seal was born July 15, 1927, in Surry County, to the late Walter Reid and Wolsie York Hill. Virginia was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and faithful farmwife of 61 years to the late Buford Luther Seal. She is survived by three daughters, Ann Hiatt (Craig), Mary Hooker, and Jean Walker (Mike); two sons, Larry Seal (Janet) and Alvin Seal (Lynn); thirteen grandchildren, Jennifer Young (Randy), Meredith Forman (Katie), John Seal (Marcia), Krista Hiatt, Neal Hiatt (Joy), Amy Nichols (Chris), Chad Hooker (Ashley), Jake Hooker (Amanda), Adam Jones, David Seal (Brandi), Sam Seal (Codi), Heather Collins (Brandon), and Melissa Swift (Joe); twenty-four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Holder and Linda Hardy. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Seal was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Harold Hooker; and a brother, the Rev. Clarence Hill. The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church, with the Rev. Grant Atkins officiating. Her body will lie-in-state 30 minutes before the funeral service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the burial in the church fellowship hall. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, P.O.
