Virginia Irene Bullin White

Mrs. Virginia Irene Bullin  White passed away on June 7, 2022, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.  Mrs. White was born in Surry County on February 25, 1947, to the late Marshall Bullin and Geneva “Top” Corder Bullin.  She graduated from Surry Central High School in 1965.  Afterward, she went to Appalachian State University and earned a BS Degree in Business Education.  In 1982 she graduated from Radford University with a Master of Science degree.  She has taught school in Surry and Yadkin counties as well as night classes for Surry Community College over her teaching career.  She retired in 2010 with 33 years in service to education, with thirty of those years being at Starmount High School.  In addition to her father, Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lee White and a sister, Diann Smith.  Left to cherish her memories are her mother; brother, Terry (Ligia) Bullin; brother-in-law, Robert Smith; stepsons, Doc White and Mike (Rhonda) White; stepdaughters, Sonya (Glen) Ganyard and Tracy (Gary) Hollows; ten step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; niece, Courtney (Michael) Stokes; nephews, Isaac (Alice) Bullin, David Bullin, Sam (Kim) Smith, Rodney (Heather) Smith, Jason (Marsha) Smith.  Funeral service for Mrs. White will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2022, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Services with Rev. Brian Thompson officiating.   Burial will follow in the Little Richmond Baptist Church Cemetery.  There will not be a visitation held.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
