Virginia Louise Wood Wright

Ms. Virginia Louise Wood Wright, 68, of 1085 Westlake Drive, Mount Airy, passed away Friday night, July 8, 2011, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Ms. Wright was born October 16, 1942, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Floyd and Gypsie Hardy Wood. Louise retired from Perry Manufacturing after many years of service. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Daryl Atkins of Harmony; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Tommy and Karen Wright, Billy Wright and his fiancée, Penny Martin, and Michael Wright and his fiancée, Tabatha Corder, all of Mount Airy; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Ms. Wright was preceded in death by her first husband, Dennis Edgar Wright; three sons, Timmy Dale Wright, Gary Dean Wright, and Gregory Wright; and a great-granddaughter, Santana Nicole Wright. The funeral service will be held Monday, July 11, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Doug Cockerham officiating. Burial will follow in the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
