Wade Lewis Chandler

Mr. Wade Lewis Chandler age 66 of 709 Allred Mill Road, Mt. Airy, NC husband of Mrs. Sue Cook McBride Chandler passed away Friday, April 12, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born July 6, 1941 in Surry County to the late Louis Martin and Lillie "Gabe" Mathis Chandler. He was of the Baptist faith and was a retired carpenter. Surviving is his wife, Sue Cook McBride Chandler of the home, a step son, Jimmy Dale "Snookie" McBride, FL, two step grandchildren, four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Peggy Webb, Janie Bondurant, Pauline and Kenneth Lovill, Brenda and Earl Hiatt all of Mt. Airy, two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Larry and Linda Chandler, Don and Barbara Chandler, and Helen Chandler all of Mt. Airy, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Chandler was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Chandler and two brothers, Johnny Chandler and Billy Chandler. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, April 14, 2008 at Skyline Memory Gardens conducted by Rev. George Jones. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. Moody Funeral Service of Mt. Airy is assisting the Chandler family. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
