Wade Haynes

Mr. Wade Haynes, 72, of Cana, VA, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010, at his home. Mr. Haynes was born February 22, 1938, in Carroll County, VA, son of the late William and Dessie McMillian Haynes. He retired from Surry Truck and Tractor and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mr Haynes is survived by his wife, Wilma Haynes of the home; four daughters and sons-in-law, Lou and Ray Semones of Fancy Gap, VA, Peggy Haynes and Roger Snow, Vickie and Perry Haynes, and Amanda Haynes, all of Cana, VA; and a son, John Haynes of Cana, VA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Haynes was preceded in death by a sister, Essie Sawyers. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Israel Gwyn and Mr. Bobby Steel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:30 until 2:00 PM at the church.
