Wade Mitchell Moore

Wade Mitchell Moore went home to be with the Lord on July 12, 2013. He was born on September 11, 1927, and was a member of Haymore Memorial Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for many years. He was a loving husband and father. He was co-owner of Surry Truck and Tractor Company of Mount Airy, a business begun by two of his uncles as Jones Supply Company. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Magdalene Pardue Moore, and by his daughter, Carol Jean Moore, of the home. He is also survived by two sisters, Carolyn Moore York of Mount Airy and Frances Moore Smith of Raleigh, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dwight Limon Moore and Etta Louise Jones Moore, one brother, Audrey Thomas Moore, one sister, Bonnie Moore Fletcher, and one nephew, Larry Christian Moore. The funeral service will be Monday, July 15, at 4:00 p.m. at Haymore Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Robert McCrary officiating. Flowers will be appreciated as will memorials to Haymore Memorial Baptist Church, P.O. Box 27, Mount Airy, NC 27030. In lieu of food, a meal for all those attending the funeral will be served in the church fellowship hall following the burial at Oakdale Cemetery.
