Mr. Wade Dee Snow, 77, husband of Mrs. Ruth King Snow, of Dobson passed away on Saturday May 10, 2008 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. He was born in Surry County on September 2, 1930 to the late Elmer Lee and Lily Mae Davis Snow. Mr. Snow was a retired farmer and a member of Fairview Church of Christ. Survivors include his loving wife of 57years Ruth King Snow of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Melvin Jackson of Mt. Airy and Lisa and Sam Davis of Dobson; a son Jerry Snow of Dobson; three grandchildren Jennifer Woodring, Melissa Woodring Jessup and Michael Davis, four great grandchildren Carla Woodring, Caleigh Woodring, Gage Jessup, Keira Jessup and; three sisters Fern Poindexter, Lena White and Dot Brown all of Dobson and one brother and sister-in-law Mack and Patsy Snow of Dobson; numerous nieces and nephews. A private family visitation will be held on Sunday evening at Fairview Church of Christ. The funeral service to be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the church and burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Children's Center of Surry, Inc. P.O. Box 692 Dobson, NC 27017. Moody-Davis Funeral Home of Dobson is serving the snow family.
