Wade Jefferson Young

Mr. Wade Jefferson Young, 79, of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 at his home.  He was born May 31, 1940 in Patrick County, the fourth child born to the late Charles Jefferson and Lois Celia Smith Young.  He is survived by sisters, Louise Cooke, and Frances Cave; brother and sister-in-law, Harvey Ray and Mary Young; and several nieces, nephews and spouses, Brigget Horton, Bobby Cooke, Sharon and Dwayne Chandler, Susan and Donnie Harman, Ronald and Katie Cave, Michael Ray and Cindy Young, Buddy Gray Young, and Lisa Weddle; and several great nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Young was preceded in death by brothers, Robert “Bobby” Roosevelt Young and William A. Young.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Friendly Tabernacle with the Rev.
