Walter Dale Allen

Mr. Walter Dale Allen Age 93 of 115 Silkwood Trail Mt. Airy, NC. widow of Mrs. Bethene H. Allen passed away Sunday November 18, 2007 at the home of his daughter. Mr. Allen was born January 8, 1914 in Herman Minnesota to the late Dennison Hiram and Celia Cummings Allen, he was a veteran of U.S. Navy serving during WWII, was a retired chef and was of the Protestant Faith. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law Dixie and Charles Ratliff of Mt. Airy and Colleen and Johnny Rhoades of Las Vegas, NV., five grandchildren Coral Ebbe, Crystal Estrada, Charles Robson, Chevon Jensen and Cheree Ingram all of Las Vegas, NV., seven great grandchildren Seth, Sammy, Daniel, Andrew, Jasmine, Ayden and Mary Jane, one sister Mary Meuters of Portland OR. and one brother and sister-in-law Albert (Bud) and Marie Allen of New Berlin, Wisconsin.. The family would like to express a special and sincere gratitude to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative, Care, especially Libby Marion, Mike Fields and April Robertson and also to Dr. Catalin Burciu of Blue Ridge Cardiology and Internal Medicine. There will be no formal funeral service and his remains will be buried in Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills Cemetery in Los Angeles, CA. Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
