Walter Lee Nowlin, Jr.

          Mr. Walter Lee Nowlin, Jr., age 44 of Eden, NC, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at UNC Rockingham Healthcare in Eden, NC.  He was born in Patrick County on February 28, 1975.  Walter was a Direct Care Professional with the state of Texas where he worked with people with intellectual disabilities.  He was always known as a hard worker who was very compassionate and had a strong love for music.

          Surviving are his mother, Virginia Hatcher Nowlin of Eden, NC; his father and step-mother, Walter Lee Nowlin, Sr. and Judy Nowlin of San Antonio, TX; two daughters, Tina and Selena Nowlin of Roanoke; two brothers, James Henry Nowlin and Morrico Nowlin both of San Antonio, TX; and several Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.

          Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder James Hatcher officiating.  Burial will follow in the Samaria Holiness Church Cemetery.  A wake will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
