Wanda Irene Edwards Cagle

Mrs. Wanda Irene Edwards Cagle, 81, of 27 Fence Road, Cana, VA, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2009, at her home. Mrs. Cagle was born September 7, 1927, in Carroll County, VA, the daughter of the late Friel and Hester Walters Edwards. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Cagle is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Faye and Greg Goad of Lambsburg, VA, Lynn Rippey of Cana, VA, and Betty Utt of Abingdon, VA; three sons and daughters-in-law, Harlie and Linda Cagle and Lenwood and Angie Cagle, all of Cana, VA, and Tommy and Kun Hyang Cagle of Lacy WA; twenty grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Josie and Aaron Crotts and Gracie and Marlie Jones, all of Cana, VA; and a brother and sister-in-law, Rush and Linda Mae Edwards of Cana, VA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cagle was preceded in death by her husband,, William Marlie Cagle; an infant son; a sister, Margaret Crotts; and two brothers, James Edwards and Otis Edwards. The funeral service will be held Monday, January 19, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Donald G. Bryant, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Marion Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 18, 2009, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
